Widgets

Compose the visible story layer.

Add overlays that explain the route without hiding the map.

  • Compass
  • Profile and stats
  • Text and credits

Choose Widgets

Widgets are visual overlays rendered above the scene. Use them when the output needs context that the map alone cannot provide.

Common widgets include:

Place Widgets

Place widgets where they support the story and do not hide important route details. Check the same layout at the final capture size, not only during editing.

Export Ready Checks

Before capturing:

  1. Keep important text inside the final capture area.
  2. Avoid placing widgets over dense map details.
  3. Check the visual order when overlays overlap.
  4. Hide widgets that are only useful while editing.
  5. Test the layout in the snapshot or video workflow before final export.

Use the Studio

Keep the guide open while you prepare a journey, tune the scene, and export the output.

The guide follows the same order as a typical session: open, import, choose layers, edit, style, compose, export, and troubleshoot.
